"The Pillars of Loki"[1] consisted of a forest of ten meter high poles placed at random intervals, often with booby traps, including Stun Grenades and Sharpened Sticks strung on by the Drill Instructors to teach recruits the importance of moving slowly and keeping one's eyes open. It is situated in Military Reservation 01478-B on Reach. And has been used multiple times by Senior Chief Petty Officer Franklin Mendez in the training of the SPARTAN-II soldiers. This is the place where Master Chief Petty Officer John SPARTAN-117 tested the MJOLNIR Armor Mark V, though the course had been modified with Napalm Grenades and Sonic Grenades.
Trivia
- Loki is also the name of the AI that was on the first UNSC ship called Skidbladnir that colonized to Harvest.
