Parisa was a Lieutenant in the UNSC Marine Corps and a childhood friend of the boy who would grow up to become MCPON John-117.
Biography
Even into her adult life, Parisa kept with her a picture of herself and John on a beach at Lake Gusev on their homeworld of the now glassed Eridanus II; taken some two weeks before Dr. Halsey abducted John, as a lucky charm. She believed, like many others, that John had died not very long after the picture was taken. In fact, he was replaced with a flash clone to hide his disappearance.
As complex organs like the brain[notes 1] cannot properly be flash cloned, and the products are left having no mental development[notes 2] and many die of eventual degradation to the organ.
