New Constantinople was a UNSC colony world.
Between 2536 and 2537 a major battle between UNSC and Covenant forces occurred in the planet's system. Vice Admiral Danforth Whitcomb distinguished himself in this engagement, as did the Spartan-IIIs from Alpha Company[1]. However, the battle was lost and the Covenant glassed the planet.
Trivia
- The planet is most likely named after the capital city of the former Byzantine Empire, Constantinople.
