New Constantinople was a UNSC colony world.
Between 2536 and 2537 a major battle between UNSC and Covenant forces occurred in the planet's system. Vice Admiral Danforth Whitcomb distinguished himself in this engagement as did the Spartan-III from Alpha Company. However, the battle was lost and the Covenant glassed the planet.
