Private First Class M. Fitzgerald was a Human Marine assigned to the UNSC Pillar of Autumn.

History

When the vessel arrived at Installation 04 in 2552, he evacuated the ship in the same lifeboat as Sergeant Johnson. When Foehammer and Echo 419 evacuated Johnson and the other survivors, Fitzgerald volunteered to accomany the Master Chief in his Warthog to search for the other Bumblebee Lifepods.[1] He was wounded by a shot from a Needler,[2] but continued to man the gun and survived the fight and returned to Alpha Base with the Chief. He died in the Battle of Installation 04.
