Three freighters of this classification were used by the Eridanus Rebels as part of their improvised fleet. They were used to tow the damaged hybrid vessel Ascendant Justice/Gettysburg back to Eridanus Secundus for repairs. [1]
One Laden-class freighter was used by Master Chief in the book Halo:First Strike to destroy the Unyielding Hierohant. It utilized a captured covenant dropship (that was reinforced with lead to protect from radiation) to escape from slipspace and land on the Unyielding Hierophant.
