Kwassass was an Unggoy stationed on the Covenant supercarrier Sublime Transcendence near the beginning of the Great Schism in November 2552.

He and his tribe had training in the interpretation of human speech for the purposes of transcribing intercepted human communications; however, they were forbidden to read human writing.
