He was standard infantry, but for the Covenant attack on the Pillar of Autumn, he was made an Ossoona, or "Eye of the Prophets". His mission was to obtain useful intelligence from the UNSC by capturing Cortana and senior personnel, and to record everything he saw through use of cameras attached to his helmet.[1] Through the use of Active Camouflage, 'Nosolee was able to execute his task without detection. Keyes noticed the blur through the Elite's Active Camo, and shot him with Corporal Wilkin's M6D Pistolthe slug went straight through a slit in his helmet and came out his neck.[3] However, when his body was discovered by the rest of the forces of the Covenant, they came to the conclusion that someone important was on the lifeboat.
