Campaign and Firefight[edit]
- The Drop shield is available on the levels Winter Contingency, ONI: Sword Base, Nightfall, Tip of the Spear, Long Night of Solace, New Alexandria, The Package, The Pillar of Autumn, and Lone Wolf.
- The Drop Shield will regenerate the health of the player, which is useful if no medpacks are available.
- The Drop Shield is not indestructable, and will collapse if it takes too much damage.

Multiplayer[edit]
- The Drop shield is more useful for players playing as Spartans rather than Sangheili, as a Sangheili's health already regenerates.
- In Invasion, players on the defending team should use the Drop shield to protect the core if the core has been taken outside its spawning point.
