Devesh Bhasin[1] was an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper that served with Dutch and Buck. In Dutch's final interview for the boarding of a Covenant Carrier, Dutch mentioned him as a possible replacement for The Rookie. After this Buck notified Dutch that Bhasin had died.[2]
Biography
Early Career
Bhasin served alongside Dutch and Buck in several battles, and both men had a high opinion of him and his combat capabilities. However, at some point Bhasin became part of another ODST unit.
Battle of Sigma Octanus IV
Bhasin died at the Battle of Sigma Octanus IV due to a malfunction of the heatshields for the parachutes. They got damaged during the jump in his HEV while it was entering the atmosphere. He was unable to slow his HEV down and died.
