The [[Covenant]] and its [[Covenant remnants|splinter factions]] use a wide variety of '''weapons'''. Like most Covenant technology, their weapons are highly exotic in both operation and design, especially in comparison to the [[human]] arsenal. Many are [[directed-energy weapon]]s, typically utilizing either [[plasma weaponry|plasma]] or [[particle beam weapon|particle beams]], and run off a battery charge. However, some Covenant weapons also use physical projectiles, such as the [[Type-51 carbine]] or the [[Type-33 fuel rod gun]]; additionally, most weapons of native [[Jiralhanae]] design fire projectiles rather than energy.


Covenant weapons are very different and distinct from human weapons. They typically fire plasma bolts rather than projectiles, and run off of a charge instead of a clip of ammunition.
