The Elite Commando Armor, also known as the Command Armor is a type of Elite body armor.
Introduction
The Commando Armor is an armor of the Elite race. It is the opposite to the UNSC MJOLNIR Armor, featuring a dynamic recharging Energy Shield. Due to its name it is suspected that it is a armor for Spec Ops Elites, Stealth Elites and other infiltrators, spies and assassins. It will be an armor permutation in Halo 3 multiplayer. Bungie has confirmed all of the armor permutations have no effect on gameplay.
History and Development
It is the standard harness of the newly formed Commando unit based upon pre-contact ground forces. They helmet features hardened communication gear and uplink capabilities and the thoracic cage is streamlined for greater maneuverability in close enviroments. Lightweight construction materials and advanced internal components increase overall performance.
Characteristics
Helmet Characteristics
It is similar to the Elite Assault Armor but is more smoothed and unlike the Elite Flight Armor it is more rounded than angular. Unlike the Assault Armor features separate mandible guards. There is a small blue light on the forehead, one on the chin and one under each eye, which are also small blue lenses.
Shoulder Characteristics
Its shoulder pads are similar to that of the Combat Armor but are smaller and curved outwards slightly.
===Thoracic Cage Characteristics==- It is similar to the Combat Thoracic Cage but features a small device in the centre of the chest.
Unlock
- Head: Unlock the Overkill achievement.
- Shoulders: Unlock the Killing Frenzy achievement.
- Body: Unlock the Triple Kill achievement.
- (NOTE: The Commando Shoulders are currently bugged and may not unlock for some players.)
