Template:FOF-1 1st Lieutenant Canfield was the commanding officer of a platoon of ODST's on board the UNSC Midsummer Night. He and his platoon, along with Lieutenant Jacob Keyes boarded the cargo hauler Finnegan's Wake. After they group had boarded the ship, they were caught in an explosion that was part of a trap by the insurrectionists on board and Canfield was killed. Faison then took over the role as platoon leader and with the thinking of Keyes, managed to get the remainder of the ODST's off the ship and back on board the frigate with a daring space jump.
