The C708 Longsword is a variant of GA-TL1 Longsword in service with the UNSC.[3]
Specifications
The C708 Longsword is a space-optimized strike fighter designed interception, bombing runs, and air-superiority combat. These fighters are most often employed as escorts for larger capital ships such as cruisers and frigates.
Armaments
The C708 Longsword features two M9109 ASW/AC 50mm MLA which fires 50mm projectiles at such speeds that they immediately begin to burn up from air friction when fired within an atmosphere.[4]. They are often used in an air-to-surface combat capacity during tactical strikes. The craft also features four ASGM-10 missile delivery systems which are specialized for use against fighters but are sufficiently powerful enough to deal damage to unshielded starships.
