The Siege of the Atlas Moons was fought here by Vice Admiral Danforth Whitcomb. The UNSC Atlas is named after the moons in this system.[1]An Atlas was a tool used to find places around the world.
Trivia
- Atlas, in Greek mythology, was a giant who was condemned to hold up the heavens for being a giant by Zeus. After Hercules relieved him of his burden via turning him to stone after he fetched the Golden Fleece, the mountains were named after him.[2]
