The 23rd Naval Air Squadron is a squadron comprised of pilots from the UNSC Navy and the UNSC Marine Corps.[1]

Background

Several members of this unit, if not the entire unit, were aboard the Template:UNSCship in August 2552. Members of the squadron were adept at piloting several types of air vehicles, including D77-TC Pelicans, GA-TL1 Longsword-class interceptors, and even captured Covenant Spirit-class dropships. When the Pillar of Autumn crashed on the surface of Installation 04, some of the pilots survived, though all of them were later killed.
