Paolo was a friend of Gene Lindsey, a wanna-be gangster on Earth.[1] He approached Janissary James and asked her to help Gene by preventing him from getting in too deep by commiting a rape as part of a Crystal Security gang initiation. Afterwards he thanked her and warned her to watch her back for Thin Kinkle. He may or may not also be the man whom Jan rescued from Kinkle at Sharfie's.
