The UNSC Athens was a prowler used by ONI. In 2525, Athens was on station a few AUs from the rebel base on Eridanus Secundus in the Epsilon Eridani system. She was to alert the UNSC Pioneer if the Spartans' mission went awry, however this proved to be unnecessary.
