Have one player wait right where the load point would be, and have the other player burst into the room, making a B-line for the pulse generator, as the room is crawling with Flood. Once destroyed, have the player stationed at the load point walk back, triggering it, and teleporting the other player. Along with the player comes all of the Flood around the player. Virtually statues, they will stand there, having literally no AI. You can continue on, having completed the objective, or you can shoot them all, chuck grenades, and melee them, assuming you don't trigger the load point again. There will be no visual indication of any damage to the Flood. Once you feel enough grenades and rounds have been expended, re-trigger the load point. The Flood you shot will all drop dead.
