Summary
"Half-Jaw", as he is known unofficially, for his name is not mentioned in Halo 2 at all, is a Sangheili with white or "Ultra" armor, as Cortana calls those of his rank. He is a Commander of Covenant Special Operations forces. He is mostly recognizible because he is missing his left mandibles, hence the fan-name, "Half-Jaw".

Biography
Half-Jaw was present during the campaign against the Pillar of Autumn at Halo. Sometime during his stay there, he fought against the Flood. He escaped before the ring was destroyed.

He first makes his appearance in The Arbiter (Level), where he leads the SpecOps forces on board a Phantom in reciting an oath of loyalty. He speaks with the Arbiter before the Covenant are deployed to assault the Heretics.
The Heretics
At the start of The Oracle (Level), he mentions that he recognises the stench of the Flood. It is most possible that he is a veteran of the fighting on the first Halo (It is speculated that this is the cause of his injury). Later in the level, he hands the Arbiter his Energy Sword, if the Arbiter is not already in possession of one, to cut the cables holding up the facility.
He was assigned to hunt down the Heretic Leader on a gas mining platform over Threshold. Joining him was the Arbiter, recently sentenced by the High Council. Aboard a Phantom, he provided reinforcements to the Arbiter as he progressed through the facility. Eventually finding the Heretic Leader, they chased him into another part of the platform. Half-Jaw got out and joined the Arbiter in his search on foot.

He reappears in the starting cutscene of Sacred Icon (Level), where he expresses his disdain of having the Brutes replace the Elites as the Honor Guards to the remaing High Prophets. He reappears in the last part of Sacred Icon, where he is defending an Elite encampment from waves of Flood.
Half-Jaw is reminded of his past by a familiar "stench", moments before running into a battle between the Heretics and the Flood. Clearing out the area of hostilities, they futher pursue the Heretic Leader until he locks himself behind an unbreakable energy barrier. Giving up, Half-Jaw was about to turn away until the Arbiter asks for his energy sword so he could cut the cables, possibly drawing out the fugitive. Half-Jaw agreed, giving his partner his prized possession. Leaving the Arbiter to his work, Half-Jaw left for his Phantom.

He holds back until "the main forces arrive", but reappears in a Specter dropped off by a Phantom about 3/4 of the way through Quarantine Zone (Level), along with another Elite. He then stays until the cutscene that starts the part of Quarantine Zone called "Shooting Gallery". He and the Arbiter go onto the gondola that leads into the Library of Delta Halo, but goes off to draw some Flood away.
Changing of the Guard
He reappears the final cutscene of Uprising, where he drives a Wraith and converses with the Arbiter.
Back in High Charity, the Jiralhanae were taking over the position of Honor Guard to the High Prophets. However, Truth refused to hear any more of it, and Half-Jaw was sent away. As he left, Truth muttered to himself "Politics, how tiresome".

In the first cutscene of The Great Journey (Level), he mentions the Scarab as a means of breaking down the door of Delta Halo's Control Room, then goes into the Wraith and fights alongside you against the Brutes.
The Search for the Sacred Icon
Soon afterward, he joined the Arbiter again to search for the Sacred Icon, the key to make way for the Great Journey. He dropped off his partner and proceeded to give assistance through their radio frequency. Travelling in a Phantom, he and his squad set down and set up an encampment, which was soon after attacked by the Flood. Again, leaving the Arbiter on his own, he gains a Spectre and rejoined his friend later in the Quarantine Zone. They arrived at a massive gondola which takes them into the Library and towards the Sacred Icon. He ran off to draw some Flood away, allowing the Arbiter to obtain the Icon.

He is voiced by Robert Davi, who is best known for his role as Franz Sanchez in the James Bond classic "License to Kill".
Deactivating Halo
Word got out that the Prophet of Truth had his hands on the Sacred Icon and the Oracle and was going to begin the Great Journey. Commandeering a Wraith, Half-Jaw spotted a Scarab walker parked outside a Jiralhanae encampment. Meeting up with the Arbiter once again, they attacked the surprised Jiralhanae and met up with a squad of Lekgolo and other Sangheili.

The Heretics

Half-Jaw makes it clear the Arbiter's life means nothing to him.

Changing of the Guard

Half-Jaw listens to the Prophets speak of the changing of the guard.

Back in High Charity, the Jiralhanae were taking over the position of Honor Guard to the High Prophets. Expressing his disdain to the Prophets of Truth and Mercy, Half-Jaw was disgusted by this radical switch in tradition and customs. However, Truth refused to hear any more of it, and Half-Jaw was sent away. As he left, Truth muttered to himself "Politics, how tiresome".

Half-Jaw was left behind when the Arbiter escorted Johnson to the Control Room, it is unknown of what happened to him.

The Invincible Half-Jaw

Much like Sergeant Johnson, Half-Jaw is invincible throughout Halo 2.

Production Notes
