Major Domo[1] Elite, more commonly known as Elite Major, is a Covenant Sangheili (Elite) rank.
Elites baring this rank are seasoned warriors whose rank is relatively low in the Covenant Elite rank structure: higher than a Minor Domo Elite, yet lower than that of a Ranger.
They command Minor Elites as well as other races on ground combat situations. They are referred to in several ways, such as "Veterans" or "Half Commanders." They are the physical equivalent of a SPARTAN-II supersoldier. A single Major Elite can often hold its own against a squad of Marines. They are also the only known rank of Elite that become Ossoonas. To humans, they would be and are considered Sergeants in the Covenant.

Combat
Only found wielding Plasma Rifles and Needlers, these Elites have slightly more powerful shields than the blue armoured Elites. They fire in sustained bursts and move while shooting. They are also far less prone to tactical mistakes, such as not charging directly into a fight and taking cover more often.
In Easy and Normal modes, these Elites are relatively uncommon, but in Heroic and Legendary, they take the place of increasing numbers of Minor Elites.
