Template:Realworld Xbox Live is Microsoft's multiplayer player-to-player subscription service used to play supported games via internet, using xboxes as servers for multiplayer matches. Originally released 1 year after the original release of the Xbox, Xbox Live was originally made popular by such games as Rainbow Six 3 and MechAssault. Over one million new users created accounts when Halo 2 first released, and it has now become the mainstay of Xbox Live, even with the onset of the Xbox 360.

Useally the maximum number of players is 16. Besides Multiplayer xbox live can be used for downloading content such as new levels and maps. Many of the Multiplayer Map Packs Maps are able to obtain via content download.

If you do want Xbox live, the price is $50.00 a year, and about $6.00 a month
