Questions/Concerns/Talk[edit]

Hey there's no reason to go around deleting people's edits. There's a reason people come to websites like this, and it's because they need the help and tips or whatever that other people put out there for free. When hundreds of people now come to the site looking for tips on the Vidmaster Challenges and all there is is a blanket statement "just boost through the level on a ghost" that's not very helpful to the average gamer. I don't expect a kid to understand especially one who obviously is socially crippled because he spends all his time on wiki sites, but im going to repost the walkthrough and this time leave it alone.

uhh[edit]

Huh, why did you remove the image of the Engineer of Halo 3: ODST? --Mishulover69 18:08, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

News Userbox[edit]

Well, I have a lot of time on my hands right now and decided to make a News Editor Userbox:

You like it?

Userbox |id = File:Typewriter.png |id-c = grey |id-fc = If you don't want an Image you can have text. So this is font color |id-s = If you don't want an Image you can have text. So this is text size |info = This user is an editor for the Halopedia:News|Halopedia News Service]]. |info-c = yellow |info-fc = black |info-s = 12pt |border-c = black |border-s = 2}}

Literature & Media[edit]

If you could help me, please create this page with this text:

You may be looking for the books related to or regarding Halo's content, or the films and movies of similar origin.

*'''[[Category:Books|Literature]] - Ranging from Halo stories to the graphic novels and anything in between.
*'''[[Category:Cinematics|Media]] - Live or animated shorts or movies based on the Halo universe.

Pronounciation[edit]

Why did you revert this edit? I've seen numerous web pages of people asking "how the hell do you pronounce 'Sangheili'?" and not finding an answer or getting it wrong. As a source of mass Halo information, the true pronounciation of Sangheili should be put in the article, as well as Jiralhanae's and Yanme'e's. Despite what you people have said, this is not a "Well duh" or "We don't need that" situation. The pronounciations are not obvious. We do need it. It's like how do you pronounce MJOLNIR?

Multi Edits[edit]

Try to limit the amount of consecutive edits to an article to three. I know you're not intending to point-boost, but this is just a friendly reminder =)--Spartacus, Halopedia Administrator Talk 13:12, 28 September 2012 (EDT)

Promoting CSG[edit]

It will be better if you spread the news of this event on active Halo fansites such as hbo, Halo Nation, and Rampancy.net (not sure if they're into multiplayer as they did in 2007). Good luck. :) — subtank 01:33, 20 October 2012 (EDT)

MJOLNIR uploads[edit]

Don't worry about uploading them if you're cropping them and/or using those with the blue background. There's larger versions that feature a transparent background in the page source files and I'm sure someone else will upload them later if you don't care to do it. Anyhoo, thanks! :) Grizzlei

Let's just talk on here for simplicity's sake. What browser are you using? Grizzlei
Firefox. -Killjax
I believe you would go Tools > Web Developer > Page Source. Grizzlei
As far as I can tell (and I could be very well wrong) I cannot extract/download any of the images on this particular url. Its Microsoft Silverlight which is a totally different thing. It also doesn't list all images, at least, from what I can see. Thanks for the help though, I'll see if I can look more into it.-Killjax
@Grizzlei- Thanks for the info. I was clueless as to how to extract the images. I'll keep that for future reference. @Killjax- I believe it doesn't list all the images till you actually select what you are trying to obtain. For instance when you first look at the guide, it only list just the template/preview images that are on screen but once you select, lets say the Broadsword, the corresponding image file will "pop" into the list and remain there. Also everything else you look at will pop into the list and remain there till you go to some other page. Anyway I went ahead and uploaded all the armor and then some. However there's a ton of other items to upload. 343 overloaded us w/ everything we need to know. :)--Killamint [Comm|Files] 10:29, 30 October 2012 (EDT)

FUD images[edit]

Hey Killjax, I've noticed that you have joined the argument I had with ArchedThunder yesterday. Take a look File_talk:FUDHunter.png|here]] for why I put his images up for deletion. -Pantegral 05:30, 3 November 2012 (EDT)

Screenshot uploads[edit]

Killjax, could you please upload any non-transparent files in JPG format instead of PNGs? They're much lighter than PNG files without sacrificing image quality, making uploading new versions of a file easier. It only takes around ten seconds to open the screenshot in Paint and re-save them as JPGs. -Pantegral (talk) 05:01, 30 January 2013 (EST)

Mark VI armor[edit]

It says in the visual dictionary that the strength of the Mark VI increases by a factor of 5 based of the abilites of the Mark V. But what is said about the Mark V is not clear, all they say is it is a lot stronger than the Mark IV. not exact words, and then for the Mark IV it says up to 2 tons. They did this so that the armor could not be outdated by real life things we do or by other fictional stories, we can never be sure how strong the Mark VI and VII are because V is left up to interpretation.

ps I can't sign in for whatever reason. I checked to see if I am hacked and I can log into any wiki but this one.

Interpretations or theories should not be involved in articles unless it is conjectural within the canon status itself. I have the Visual dictionary, and from what I see the Mjolnir Mk. VI has an increased factor of 5 due to advancement in armor systems (non-verbatim). It does not say anything in regards to adding more gel-layer. -Killjax
