==Operational history==
''Udka''-pattern drop pods played a key role during the final months of the [[Human-Covenant War]]. During the [[Battle for Earth]], Sangheili forces of the [[Fleet of Sacred Consecration]] used these pods to drop into the city of [[New Mombasa]] in the battle's early stages.{{Ref/Level|H2|Outskirts}} They were later used in the onset of the [[Great Schism]], being used to deploy [[Covenant separatists|separatist]] forces onto [[Installation 05]]{{Ref/Level|H2|Uprising}} and the forces of the [[Fleet of Retribution]] into the [[Flood]]-infested city of [[Voi]] months later.{{Ref/Level|H3|Floodgate}}
