Why are the Forerunners harvesting wind energy?[edit]

And more importantly, why would they be using machinery with anti-gravity parts to assist in the gathering of wind energy? Wouldn't that be terribly inefficient? Also, they have access to vacuum energy, so I don't see why they would bother with wind energy.--File:PENGUIN4.gif|15px]]FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 16:54, 26 September 2014 (EDT)

Well...we've got our anti-nuclear movements, maybe this is the Forerunner equivalent? Go back to basics? I dunno, that's the only thing that makes sense to me. -- Qura 'Morhek The Autocrat of Morheka 17:31, 26 September 2014 (EDT)

Who says they are harvesting wind energy? The map description indicates "ONI personnel are convinced" but that's not conclusive. How do you guess the intentions of aliens with technology 100,000 years in advance of you? :) -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 09:50, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
Well it's implied to be very powerful wind...--The All-knowing Sith'ari (talk) 19:33, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
Very true. Perhaps it's simply collecting samples of the air? Maybe it was placed there to divert or direct the wind in that area? Maybe it's not capturing wind, but is the source of the wind itself and is sucking the air on a massive scale? The possibilities are endless. I just think it's funny that ONI came to the conclusion that the Forerunners are interested in wind energy.--File:PENGUIN4.gif|15px]]FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 19:54, 27 September 2014 (EDT)
