Why does Master Chief going to destroy the Circumference instead of going to defend the Orbital Generators mean that he goes to Installation 04 instead of ending up on the surface of the planet, like he would have otherwise? --Esemono 04:50, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

The Spartans got two missions: destroy the circumference and defend the generators. Had the master chief not had to destroy the circumference, he would have gone to the planet to defend the generators along with the rest of his spartans. -ED 19:05, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

OK So he wasn't killed on the surface because he was ordered to destroy the Circumference but how does that mean he went to Installation 04? Was it just beacuse he wasn't killed? How does MC going to destroy the circumference lead to him going to Installation 04? --Esemono 01:32, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

If the circumference logs had been deleted, the Master Chief would have gone groundside to defend the guns. He would not have escaped the system aboard the pillar of autumn, and so he would have been in the same situation as Fred, Kelly, etc. He would never have gone to Installation 04. He wouldn't have stayed on the station because the Covenant were destroying all the orbital facilities. So he could only do one thing- escape aboard the PoA -ED 01:42, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
