Talk:M95 Lance

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

The Corvettes seem to have no shielding in-game, and the article for them says they don't. So the last[ish] line should be changed. Done. --Tentacletornado 15:12, 20 December 2010 (EST)

The M97 is the missile battery seen in Halo 4 on the Infinity. There's a reference to the "terrestrial M95" in that entry. I specifically gave a model number of M95 in that entry to reference the Reach version in New Alexandria. This article should have its images split for the M97 only refers to the Infinity-type batteries and not those on Reach. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 17:20, 16 September 2013 (EDT)

Oh, wow, how did I miss that? Well, anyway, maybe we should use the same article but split it to cover both types, since they are basically the same weapon. To me personally, it doesn't really make a lot of sense to have two separate articles on weapons that are aesthetically very similar. Suppose we could change it again to M95 GMWS then create a subsection to cover the M97 GMWS. Does that sound like a good compromise? --Xamikaze330 [Transmission|Commencing] 17:48, 16 September 2013 (EDT)Xamikaze330
There. It's done. Hope that all helps.
This weapon system is also called the Lance just as there are now two versions of the Scythe. That was the point of giving one a name and then referencing the earlier one in the text as seen in the Halo 4 Visual Guide. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 09:47, 7 November 2013 (EST)
Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if the "Lance" name also applied to the M95 so I left this article's title alone when creating the M97 page. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 09:57, 7 November 2013 (EST)
