Remake BAG units?

The three BAG units (S4/BRT/1/7, E2-BAG/1/7, S4/BAG/2/5) can only have one meaning, according to the way the USMC is organized, and that is Company, Platoon, Battalion, Regiment (So S4/BRT/1/7 stands for Sierra Company, 4th Platoon Battalion Reconnisance Team, 1st Battalion 7th Marines). Should we recreate the unit page based on this? The organization hasn't been explicitly stated, but the Halo canon information has based everything else off the USMC. --ED 19:37, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Edit War

The page has been protected to stop the edit war (as is standard policy in this situation) that has been going on between CommanderTony and myself over the past few months. The two things in question are:

1. Is the Twenty Second Tactical actually the 22nd ODST Battalion?
2. Is the 7th ODST Battalion a subordinate unit of the 105th ODST Division?

CommanderTony has edited the article repeatedly to reflect that these two things are true, but as I have yet to see any sources conclusively proving them, I have reverted it each time. So neither of us will be able to touch the page until the issue is resolved by other users and admins. --ED 22:50, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

As I stated in a message to you, i'm convinced the 7th Battalion is an element of the 105th Shock Division for this reason. Unless all Shock Troopers are labeled as "Helljumpers", which i'm pretty sure only 105th Troopers are. Which would make the 7th Battalion a part of the 105th, because at the beginning of Delta Halo (Level), the chapter title is called "Helljumpers".

As for the "Twenty Second Tactical" question, I renamed it the 22nd Battalion because of a likely name for the unit. Usually, and most of the time, U.S. military units are not formally called that.

Regarding the 22^nd, I think in the lack of any definitive canon suggesting that it's the ODST unit that I'd prefer just to keep it as the Twenty-second Tactical, although Tony's idea is quite possible. This isn't my area of expertise, but I do feel that if Tony is going to continually add this, he should be citing a source or at the very least some sort of justification (using <ref> or <!--). 3/1 Bravo

The unit that the Marines in Halo: Combat Part 2 are part of is identified as "3/1 Bravo", alongside the ODST's "2BN/3U" (2nd Battalion, 3rd Unit). To me it is clear that this unit is Bravo Company of the 3rd Battalion 1st Marines, as the unit coding scheme of the UNSC has been made pretty clear and this is the only way the code would make sense. Anyone else have any thoughts before I add the unit to the list? --ED 02:04, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

No Mention of UNSC Army Units????

Please correct me if i'm wrong, (details below...)

According to Halo Reach, During the battle of Viery Territory, if one interprets the Symbols representing UNSC Army, Marine and ODST units, (image found here) (Halopedia article Found here) you can deduct that there are at least 3 UNSC Army Brigades and at least 1 UNSC Marine regiment.
