Setting

Where does it say that this is the Truth and Reconciliation? Could it be a different ket-class that crashed during the space battle in the opening? - (This unsigned comment was made by an anonymous editor.)

It is stated in many places that this event takes place aboard the Truth and Reconciliation, aside from the observation that it's in the same location as the earlier mission named after the ship in question. But, an easy one to reference is the mission clock at the start of Chapter 11 in Halo: The Flood, which reads: D +73:34:16 (SPARTAN 117 MISSION CLOCK) / ON BOARD THE TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION. - TheArb1ter117 (talk) 20:02, February 16, 2024 (EST)
