==SuperJump==

I found a superjump on cairo station. Here are the details. I was playing cairo station on coop easy trying only to melee. So I got to the first outdoor section and one of the ranger elites was on top of the corridor you come out of. So I use the vacation to get up there and he was (this is hard to explain so bear with me) on the far end of the section with the glass ceilings, where the windows end and the floor raises slightly, on the edge of the side facing away from the In Amber Clad, facing outwards at a 90 degree angle to the corridor. I meleed him from behind with the shotgun, killing him, but the mini lunge effect dragged me over the side. I caught for a moment on one of the window sills, but then fell again directly onto the geometry line at the edge of the slightly lowered area on the ground. I was propelled at least twice as high as the corridor but died a few seconds after I began to fall again.--[[User:7th Destiny]]

== Massive Repetition ==

This potentially involves all of the ODP-related articles as a whole...  The Cairo article is, again, tainted with information that is not relevant specifically to that station.

The current 'Station' section would be better merged with the general ODP article.  (After all, if somebody wants more information on the inner workings of an ODP, they should go to the ODP article.)

The entire 'Internal' section should be removed, with perhaps some very small bits being merged with the ODP article.  The blurbs on each little part should be removed entirely.  The 'locations' side bar should be more than sufficient (and saves us the need to insert blurbs that don't summerize the linked articles anyway.)

Concerning the 'locations' bar, I suggest it be renamed 'ODP locations' and the attached articles modified to reflect that.  Ideally, the location articles should remove their sections about 'Cairo'.  Mentions of the 'Chief was here' would be better served by the Cairo Station (Level) article instead.

:I am unsure how one can make the Internals section more Cairo-specific.  There's simply not enough content to that effect to merit clogging up the article with useless repetition.  I mean, we didn't do this sort of thing for the Pillar of Autumn article.  Even the article on the Halos leaves the specific locations to the links. == UNSC Homefleet Status ==

If the Cairo survived both Regret and Truth's attacks, then how are we supposed to know if the homefleet truly is "smashed". Much more could have survived the attacks since we know now it was false that it was all destroyed. I think we should change some of the articles to show that the homefleet was attacked, crippled, but definitely not destroyed entirely.

I can only ponder why the Cairo survived, and what else may have survived. Like Regret, Truth only needed one hole to break through. It's obvious they avoided the Cairo-Athens-Malta cluster, as the Cairo is still alive. All we know of Truth's fleet was that he had the remnants of the Brute-controlled Covenant navy comprising of (# ships?) and only had thirty (3 of which were assault carriers) after the assault. Anyways, much more of the homefleet could have survived than we originally thought.

:The thirty was after the battles above Earth. Seeing as High Charity's fleet used to be in hundreds, it's clear a lot many must have been lost, and many UNSC ships lost to down them. What's more, maybe Cairo Station didn't survive. Maybe it was destroyed but rebuilt. Naturally the new one would still be above Cairo to defend that sector. ==MAC station orbits==
The trivia seems to suggest that the Cairo is not actually above Egypt's capital. Why should it be?? So the MAC stations are named after prominent cities on Earth. Doesn't mean they have to be right over their namesake. If it wasn't commonly known, "geosynchronous" just means the station stays ina  fixed position in orbit over a particular area on the surface of the Earth. It by no means implies Cairo Station has to be above Cairo, Egypt. Another point on this, being in geosyncronous orbit precludes being over any of the locations that these stations are named for, as geosyncronous orbit occurs as a result of matching the Earth's angular rotation speed with the body's orbital angular speed. This is only possible when both are in the same direction. Based on the orientation shown, it appears to be implied that the battleclusters are collectively in a geosyncronous orbit, as they seem to be in a somewhat north-south orientation. 
On a somewhat related note, geosyncronous orbit in their apparent position should leave the New Mombassa space elevator's orbital station visible from the MAC platforms.

:::Well, I took a look at Loftus's article and it seems he got the ODA from signage that appear on Cairo that says UNSCDF-ODA142 Cairo. Now, playing my copy of 2, I can confirm that the signs do say it in the original version. However, I don't own TMCC or an XB1 so I can't say if they changed the signs in Anniversary to what the Visual Guide says. :::::I can shed some light on some of this. The general signage on the inside of Cairo does say UNSCDF-ODA142 CAIRO, such as signage like the COMMONS or TRAM area signs, however, the registry used in the Visual Guide was chosen as it better matched the tactical readout in the cutscene where it shows the MAC stations with the 3 cluster callouts: CAIRO OWP142, MALTA OWP143, and ATHENS OWP144 along with a side and top view of the station and the words HUMAN FLEET and ORBITAL WEAPON PLATFORM ARRAY. This is from the original Halo 2 game. The tactical screen in Halo 2 Anniversary has a callout pointing to Cairo alone in the array and is labeled CAIRO_OWP-142.
