Moonbase Alpha or other know as Spacecamp is the codename(s) for one of the Halo 3 Downloadable Content multiplayer maps [1]. It has been described that its fairly large, and is best suited for games such as Capture The Flag and Assault. It has also been stated that it has some unique characteristics that make Slayer interesting and Infection terrifying. Also some Bungie employees are saying its one of the most prettiest maps ever created. It was the first DLC Map to be announced, with the other being Jodrell Bank. Also in the Bungie Weekly Update 1/11/07 it said that fans of Elongation would enjoy the map.
