Mike Zak, aka Protégé, is an artist at Bungie. Born in Victoria, Canada, he has worked on many projects related to the development of Halo 2. His credits with the company include:
- Red Faction II (2002), THQ, Inc.
- Halo 2 (2004), Microsoft Game Studios
- Halo 2: Multiplayer Map Pack (2005), Microsoft Game Studios
- Halo 3 (2007), Bungie
- Halo: Reach (2010), Bungie

- Mike Zak and Chris Carney did all the voiceover work for the Terminal PA Announcements on the level Terminal.[1]
- Worked or collaborated with future Bungie employees Niles Sankey and Mike Milota at the Maharishi International University in Fairfield, Iowa.[2]
