MEP-PU-2550D/E Generator
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
The MEP-PU-2550D/E Generator is an air-transportable fusion-reactor generator that was used by the United Nations Space Command during their war with the Covenant. It is usually employed by the UNSC Army or the UNSC Air Force to meet their mobile power requirements, particularly in austere tactical environments where facility-integrated solar panels and wind turbines are insufficient or inappropriate.[1][2] The generator is integral to defense grids; destruction of the generator could compromise the UNSC's control over a sector.[3]
The generators are equipped with energy shielding. If under risk of attack, an operator can lock down the generator, which raises an armoured cowling to protect the vulnerable components and actives the shields. These features render the generator effectively invulnerable for thirty seconds.[4]
In-game information[edit]
Halo: Reach[edit]
Generators are featured in Halo: Reach as objectives in the Generator Defense variant of Firefight. In Generator Defense, between one and three generators are spawned on the map and must be defended by the Spartan players. The Covenant NPCs and any Elite players, in turn, must attack and destroy the generators. Players can interact with the generator to lock it down for thirty seconds and render it invulnerable to damage.
Halo: Ground Command and Halo: Flashpoint[edit]
In the Halo: Ground Command and Halo: Flashpoint tabletop games, the generators are available for use as scenery scatter terrain in the Ground Command UNSC Scenery Box and the Flashpoint UNSC Scenery Set.[5] The boxes include other terrain objects such as M72 Mobile Barriers, JW Armory Storage Cabinets, Transit Box DR44s, 463L Master Pallets, and miscellaneous crates.[1][2]
