So I was wondering, in the Halo anniversary terminals, it shows that the halos fire at a propagated velocity.

Rather than how it was explained in Halo: Silentium, where it was stated that it ignored space-time, was mass-less, subtle, and had near infinite velocities.

I'm rather confused, because I usually debate in SpaceBattles.com, and I've found myself confused in which canon to use.

Clearly Games are the highest canon, novels are below it.

But the terminals don't explain much of how halo radiation works, but the books do.

Help would be appreciated. Gruntian Overlord (talk) 11:15, 15 December 2013 (EST)

The Halo effect as depicted in the terminals is almost certainly a significantly slowed-down simulated representation of the pulse, whereas Silentium provides the actual explanation of the mechanics behind how it works. Visual depictions have always had little discrepancies with the novels' more technical descriptions, but at least this one is rather easy to explain as an in-universe visualization. If the velocity shown in the terminals were accurate, the Halos would've probably taken millennia to cover the entire galaxy. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 11:51, 15 December 2013 (EST)
