The Covenant Charge is a small explosive for recon missions. It was first used by Zuka 'Zamamee to release his partner Yayap from a cage.

Background
This charge can be stuck to any surface where it stays stuck forever until it is activated. To activate this device, you must have a remote to trigger the explosion.

Operational Use
Zuka 'Zamamee used such a weapon when he finds Yayap and several other Grunt soldiers in Halo: The Flood. Once the Grunts are safely far away from the cage door, the Elite attaches the Charge to the door. After 'Zamamee backs away he activates the remote, setting off the explosion. This breaks the door lock, letting all of the Grunts out.

Trivia
*It is a small device, comparable to C4 of today.
