A Queen is the leader of a Yanme'e hive. Little is known about them, besides the fact that they are extremely large, with elongated abdomens, requiring the support of subservient males carrying them on cushioned litter for transport.[1] It could be assumed that Yanme'e Queens lead their hive, giving birth to new Yanme'e and soldiers for its maintenance and defense. They presumably either reside on the Yanme'e home world, Palamok or on High Charity. Due to the huge numbers of Yanme'e in the Covenant it would seem that there would need to be more than one queen filling the reproductive role. Only one has been seen in the series during the Ascension ceremony of the High Prophets of Truth, Regret, and Mercy.
