UNSC Nereid was a United Nations Space Command mixed cargo hauler. In October of 2558 it was knocked out of slipstream space in the wake of the Created uprising, leaving it powerless and stranded.

Trivia

This ship was originally created by a Halo fan named "calamitySi", who gave permission to the creators of the Halo: Tales from Slipspace to use the design in the book.
