Background

The Musashi was one of the hundreds of ships that was present at the Battle of Reach. It was destroyed while moving to cover the Orbital Defense Platforms, when an Energy Projector from a Covenant warship severed the Musashi amidships. The aft section's engines were still burning even after it was severed from the rest of the ship [1].

Trivia

  • Musashi is likely named in honor of the Musashi Province in ancient Japan. It may also be in reference to Miyamoto Musashi, a master swordsman and one of the greatest warriors of his era.
