:Clearly "7-89" isn't the craft's registration. My guess is that 7-89 refers to its wing number within a numbered air force. Regardless, "7-89" would not be the registration of ''three'' Longswords in 2552 (of which two being assigned to the Home Fleet).-- [[User talk:Forerunner|Forerunner]] 11:37, 1 December 2010 (EST) | :Clearly "7-89" isn't the craft's registration. numbers on wing[edit]
supposedly this longsword has the number 7-89 on it somewhere, just like the longsword of the storm. i know there are other numbers on the longswords but im curious as to why they both have the # 7-89. is there meaning to this or is it coincidence? the reach longsword looks like a new game model so i dont think its a coincidence--Ender the Xenocide 18:03, 30 November 2010 (EST)
- Clearly "7-89" isn't the craft's registration. My guess is that 7-89 refers to its wing number within a numbered air force. Regardless, "7-89" would not be the registration of three Longswords in 2552 (of which two being assigned to the Home Fleet).-- Forerunner 11:37, 1 December 2010 (EST)
- I would assume the decal was simply recycled from Halo 3. The two Longswords in Halo 3 had the same model, and thus the same 7-89 decal, probably because no one would ever see the decals in-game other than theater mode. Guess no one bothered to change it in Reach. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 12:51, 1 December 2010 (EST)
- Nah. It's not recycled. If it was, the wreckage would look just like the the Ark crash site. Furthermore, there are other labels on it that aren't present in Halo 3.-- Forerunner 13:01, 1 December 2010 (EST)
- The sign was changed, too.-- Forerunner 14:20, 1 December 2010 (EST)
