In FUD Part 4, the Chief tells Lasky and co. that they're the only survivors. When Lasky asks, "at the school?", the Chief replies, "no, on the planet". I think we can reasonably assume from this that the battle was planet-wide and not just restricted to Corbulo.--The All-knowing Sith'ari 07:59, 26 October 2012 (EDT)

There were other spartans in the pelican, but do we know who they are? Probably should check that, see if we can find anything that would tell us who they were. If I were guessing, I'd say they're part of blue team, but we obviously can't go by that. If anything finds out who they were, put it on the wiki page for this topic, and on the pages of all people involved. I think that the "Battle of Circinius IV" or the "Massacre of Circinius IV" would be better article names for this page. What we saw of the battle was very one-sided, but we don't know what happened on the rest of the planet. The Halo Channel's Encyclopedia page for the planet may provide some insight. The "Fall" of Circinius IV implies that the planet was a major military stronghold, when it seemingly lacked a large planetside military force. The Fall of Arcadia and Reach are appropriate titles because the loss of Arcadia was damaging to moral since the planet was providing proof of humanity's resilience (especially after the Battle of Arcadia was a rare UNSC victory), while Reach was obviously a major UNSC stronghold. Circinius IV was neither of these (as far as we know). I think the "Massacre of Circinius IV" would be a more appropriate title, since the battle appeared largely one-sided. Although, again, since we don't know what was occurring on the rest of the planet, the "Battle of Circinius IV" would also be a reasonable title. - NightHammer (talk) 00:02, 13 August 2014 (EDT)

:It seems like massacre could be noted for a great deal of the UNSC's efforts against the Covenant during the war. Additionally, massacre could have the potential to be inferred as a more emotionally investing event than it actually is. The neutral battle would be the most preferable option in my opinion.

Rename again (again)
I suggest we rename it "Battle of Circinius IV". Thanks to the Halo 5: Guardians Limited Edition, we've discovered that there were more events than that of FUD. There are still some issues with the chronology, but I don't think we can say that the planet really "fell" in less than a day. "Battle" is more neutral. Body Count[edit]

At this point in the series, it might be a good idea to start keeping track of the casualties, as I suspect they will be mounting rather quickly. (I've removed the Spoiler Tags, given that Dimah's own page has now been updated.) Feel free to add to it as the count rises. DJenser 12:44, 19 October 2012 (EDT)

Current list of individuals whose deaths have been noted in H4:FUD:

 • Dimah Tchakova: 2526, KIA vs. Covenant on Circinius IV(Fell to her death after pulling rank to secure a seat on the academy's orbital tether, which was then severed by a Covenant SDV-Class cruiser moments later)
 • Junjie Chen: 2526, KIA vs. Covenant on Circinius IV(Impaled by a plasma sword wielded by a stealth Sangheili Zealot during the evacuation.)
 • Walter Vickers: 2526, KIA vs. Covenant on Circinius IV(Impaled by a plasma sword while drawing the attention of a Sangheili Zealot away from his comrades during the evacuation.)
 • Col. Mehaffey: 2526, KIA vs. Covenant on Circinius IV (Killed by a "super-combine" from multiple Needler impacts, offscreen due to ESRB rating.)
 • Gen. Black: 2526, KIA vs. Covenant on Circinius IV (HEADSHOT!!)

Rename again...[edit]

I think that the "Battle of Circinius IV" or the "Massacre of Circinius IV" would be better article names for this page. What we saw of the battle was very one-sided, but we don't know what happened on the rest of the planet. The Halo Channel's Encyclopedia page for the planet may provide some insight. It seems like massacre could be noted for a great deal of the UNSC's efforts against the Covenant during the war.
