This really needs to be pared down to just the Halo-relevant stuff. Also maybe something about the unexplained Earth tradition of naming military hardware after African animals. --[[User:68.44.13.236|68.44.13.236]] 17:34, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

If the elites glassed "half" the continent (probably a hyperbole on the part of hood), then how are the humans and arbiter able to erect a monument and hold the 21 gun salute near the portal to the ark? Shouldn't the ground be covered in glass-like material or at least baren and dead, both of which it is clearly not?Person122 23:06, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

I think your getting the naming scheme confused. Its named after animals from a multitude of countires. Warthog: Multiple countires, Scorpion: Multiple countires, Elephant: Multiple countires, Mongoose: India, Hornet: Multiple countires etc --Ajax 013 19:49, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Don't forget the other stuff, like the sparrowhalk, cobra, cougar, albatross, and wolverine. =P 20:11, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Is this going by traditional continents or todays? I mean today there are 6 continents, but "traditionaly" there are 7. Asia of the traditional, has since joined with Europe to form the super continent "Eurasia" (it's cos they're mostly on the same plate).Forerunner 22:14, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

I don't think there's any such thing as a "traditional" continent. Some systems count different areas as one "continent" - North and South America can just be the America's. Antarctica can be left out altogether. Australia and the Pacific get merged into asia. Eurasia and Africa suddenly become one. My schools taught me that Asia and Europe were geopolitically separate, but part of the Eurasia supercontinent. It all depends on what system you use. That's why the template lists Eurasia, but links to Asia and Europe separately. -- Administrator Specops306 - Qur'a 'Morhek Honour Light Your Way! 09:41, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
