This signal tracking device is a piece of UNSC detective equipment. It was seen being used by S. Hartley of Alpha Team during the Battle of Sector Six in November 2552, where the scanner was used for displaying the location of a tracking signal. The scanner appears to contain a flat panel display and emits a beeping that gets faster the closer it is to the target.[1]
