Sharfie's is a moons parlor in the bad part of New York City, known as a place police officers don't patrol. Thin Kinkle and his gang often went there. Kinkle referred to it as "his place".[1] It was at Sharfie's that Janissary James first encountered Kinkle, when she beat him at moons in order to save a man Kinkle was threatening.
