Shade Crabs are crustaceans found on the Unggoy homeworld of Balaho. Dadab the Deacon hunted shade crabs as well as mud wasps in the days of his youth.[1]
It is somewhat unlikely that they are related to the crabs of Earth, due to the fact that they evolved on a whole different planet with a vastly different ecosystem.
