Physical training, or PT refers to the exercise regimen undertaken by United Nations Space Command military personnel to help develop their bodies for the extreme physical demands of combat.[1]

History[edit]

The Harvest militia underwent physical training for at least two weeks before commencing live-fire training exercises. Their exercises typically included ten-kilometer runs which were later augmented with twenty-five-kilogram rucksacks.[1]

Chant[edit]

The following marching chant, called the UNSC Marine Cadence, was recited by the recruits of first and second platoons on their runs:

When I die please bury me deep!

Place an MA5 down by my feet!
Don't cry for me, don't shed no tear!
Just pack my box with PT gear!
'Cuz one early morning 'bout zero-five!
The ground will rumble, there'll be lightning in the sky!
Don't you worry, don't come undone!
It's just my ghost on a PT run![1]
