The MJOLNIR Mark VI BIOS is the basic input/output system, standard firmware interface for the MJOLNIR Mark VI armor.[1]
Introduction
The Mark VI BIOS is firmware, designed to be the first code run by the MJOLNIR Armor when activated. The initial function of the BIOS is to identify, test, and initialize system devices such as the heads-up display, energy shield systems and other hardware.
The BIOS handles most of the MJOLNIRs software functions when initiated. Updates to the BIOS allows newer hardware to be supported and function.
BIOS versions can be viewed though the Mark VI magnification system when no weapon is being held or no zoom supported weapon is being held or at the top of upper half of the Heads-up display
This firmware succeeds the Mark V BIOS for the previous MJOLNIR Mark V armor and is succeeded by the MJOLNIR GEN2 BIOS for the subsequent MJOLNIR [GEN2] armor system.

This BIOS was created by Cortana sometime after the Battle of Installation 00 and was used by John-117 at least until he returned to Earth on July 26 2558. This version also recieved a soft patch for Covenant technology.
