Captain Lucius R. Jiron was an officer of the Office of Naval Intelligence and the commanding officer of the prowler designated PRO-49776 during the Human-Covenant War.[1]
Biography
In 2544, shortly after the Battle of Miridem, he received a narrow-band point-to-point transmission from Vice Admiral Berlin M. Tursk regarding the capture of Dr. Catherine Halsey.[1] He soon oversaw Spartan Blue Team on a mission to retrieve Halsey from a Covenant fleet. After deploying the Spartans on OF/92 "Booster Frames", he monitored the Spartans' mission from the bridge of the prowler and later recovered the survivors of the mission.[2]
Trivia
- Jiron was voiced by Andy McAvin.[3]
- Despite being referenced as a captain in both The Package and The Fall of Reach's Adjunct section, Jiron's rank insignia are those of a commander. This may be explained by naval convention of referring to the commanding officer of a vessel, regardless of rank, as captain.
