First Lieutenant Jake Chapman was a UNSC Marine Officer stationed on the planet Reach in 2552. [1]

Biography

Chapman was sharing command of Charlie Company with First Lieutenant Buckman during the First Battle of Reach.

He is mentioned when Admiral Danforth Whitcomb tells Senior Chief Petty Officer Frederic-104 to put "Lieutenant Jake Chapman" on the line with him. [2]

First Lieutenant Chapman was killed, along with all but four members of Charlie Company and Covenant troops [3], due to a carpet bombing by numerous C709 Longsword-class Interceptors that had been poorly targeted and caused a friendly-fire accident.
