The Halo Wars 2 Blitz Beta was the second Halo Wars 2 open beta, running from January 20-30, 2017. The beta allowed players to experience the new multiplayer mode called Blitz.

The beta opened on January 20, 2017. Players could access it by downloading it for free on Windows 10 or Xbox One directly from the Xbox Store. The new Blitz mode was a twist on RTS gameplay that combined card-based strategy with explosive combat. The Blitz Beta took place on a single multiplayer map Proving Grounds, and offered 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 gameplay.[1]
