Glow rod

A Marine guides a taxing aircraft.
Glow rods are used by United Nations Space Command personnel to aid aircraft during take-off and landing. Frontline troops are also known to utilize glow rods to designate areas for resupply of ammunition, armaments, and equipment in lieu of chemical light sticks.[1]
